According to documents there was a petition filed related to this sports gambling license in Meadowlands Racetrack??– FanDuel Sportsbooks land-based spouse — to take a large wager.
Speculation led that McIngvale was supporting the wager.
The furniture store owner has offered a refund to clients who invested at least??$3,000 when Houston wins the World Series. Contemplating his history of such promotions, it made sense he was behind the large wager.
Lately, McIngvale bankrolled a??$3.5 million??stake in??Mississippi, the largest single bet in state history, on the Astros to win the World Series. Should Houston pull it off, then that one bet would cover $11.2 million.

McIngvale is clearly confident that the Astros will win their second championship in three years.
